The Detroit Theatre sign is loaded up onto a truck and wheeled down to Around the Corner, where it will find a new home. The demolition of the theater began on Monday.

It does say Around the Corner, but I recently saw it on the porch of a home on Riverside Dr. (the north corner of Riverside & Franklin)... maybe a different arrangement was made...!?

I don't think it was an auction item. I think they made an offer, and bought it.
