St. James Parishioners celebrated the 77th anniversary of the dedication of their church May 24, with a prayer service, rosary and May crowning. Crowning the Blessed Virgin’s Statute is Rae Brooks a lifetime member of St. James. She was assisted by Isabella Simon on the left and Sophia Simon on the right. Both Mrs. Brooks's maternal and paternal grandparents were founding member of St. James, and her parent were married in 1915 in the school gym before the present church was built. Members of the St. James community are waiting with great excitement for the restoration of their parish sometime this summer. Toni Sabo
