Several Car Break-Ins Reported on East End

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Car break-ins

About a half-dozen car break-ins were reported on the city’s east side on Dec. 21. At least two were reported in the 1000 block of Nicholson; another on Edgewater Drive; and another on Lewis Avenue. Most of the victims told police nothing was stolen, but wanted to let officers know about the incidents.

Drug abuse

A man was cited for drug abuse following a traffic stop near the Walgreens on Detroit Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 22.

Drunken driving, trip to the emergency room

Police received two reports of a man lying in the middle of Detroit Avenue and a parked car in the middle of the intersection at West Clifton Boulevard at around 7 a.m. Dec. 22. The man, who was charged with drunken driving, was taken to Lakewood Hospital for a “large bump” on his head.

“Disturbing” Facebook photo

A resident told police about a “disturbing” photo that a possible Lakewood man posted on Facebook on Dec. 22.

Resisting arrest

A woman was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following an incident in the 2000 block of Newman Avenue at around 9:45 p.m. Dec. 23.
