Why do people think Obama is doing a good job? Unemployment over 8% for 43 months with more people out of work now then when he took office. Median family income is down $4,000.
Why would a FIRST-TERM senator who spent most of that first term running for another office know how to run anything, especially the world's largest economy.

Well, there has been three jobs bills stuck on the floor of the House because the Republican majority refuses to allow them to come up for a vote. How disingenuous Republicans are being about the jobs and the economy when they have exactly what they wanted leading up to this election and you're still going to lose.

Romney flipped companies like people flipped houses during the bubble. Job creation was the farthest thing from his mind.

I;m part of the 47% that Romney has no use for. So why would I have any use for him? (please, that's strictly rhetorical, I've heard all of the BS). We need our SS and Medicare to live. I earned the right to those benefits the hard way. I worked all my life for not a lot of money and that born rich Romney has absolutely NO CLUE about anyone in my position.

Reason No. 546: Obama spent ALL his mandate pushing congress to push through obamacare BEFORE addressing the house market. If those insurance reforms were urgent, why 3 years to implement?

No. 547: Obama's focus on housing was to spend resources on folks who could never afford their homes to try to help them keep their homes they couldn't ever afford. Namely, the folks the Democrats say were "tricked" into mortgages they couldn't afford (e.g. no income loans etc.) were helped INSTEAD of helping folks who could afford but needed to re-finance but couldn't since LTV too high since value dropped. These people want to stay in homes, can pay, never took out more then can chew, but should have gotten relief first since played by the rules.

No. 548: Not letting the market bottom and rebound. Slowing down foreclosures, etc. has just prolonged the pain and increased uncertainty. The President doesn't have ANY IDEA of how markets work. ZIP. Nice guy, great at basketball, fantastic speaker and very smart in a lot a ways, but appears utterly clueless about markets.

Reason No. 549 - Jobs. Should have been the No. 1 focus. How to get businesses to want to hire more? He created way too much uncertainty with Obamacare, regulations, lack of any fiscal plan, etc. What is killing this economy is the massive amount of uncertainty. He doesn't get it.

Splinter, I would strongly suggest that you read the new book "Bull by the Horns" authored by Sheila Bair (former FDIC head). She explains in detail how the banking industry sent lobbyists to Washington to squash any hope for significant loan modification efforts. The banks that hold the credit default swaps make more money if a loan is foreclosed as opposed to modification. Without the help of the Republican controlled House, the President's hands have been tied on this issue. The independent regulatory agencies have protected the banks interests over the. People's interest because their next jobs will be in the lucrative financial sector and they're not about to bite that hand.

Obama is a socialist. He believes in redistribution. What's he gonna do when he runs out of our money? There always comes a day of reckoning and God help us when the Sandra Flukes of the world don't get their free birth control or they have to do a recall on the free obama phones. It will make the middle east look like a birthday party.

It literally blows my mind how anyone could "support" Mitt Romney. Most of the people I have spoken to that claim to "support" him, only do so because they dislike Obama. Romney is a spoiled, over privileged rich kid, who has had fun spending Daddy's money his whole life. Look up some of his famous quotes on youtube, like the one's where he talks about how much he "loves being rich and famous." It is so sad that people would actually vote in this man when it is plainly clear that he only want's in office to protect his, and all of his rich friends money. He literally has had NOTHING to offer so far in the form of any type of plan to help America, other than to overturn what Obama has done. Not to mention that internationally, he has already disgraced and embarrassed himself in several countries, and is thought of as a joke. It is also mind boggling how many people(the birthers) tried to create this huge controversy over Obama not really being an American, or being Muslim, but they all turn a blind eye to the fact that Mitt Romney's father was actually born in Mexico, and he is a high ranking official in the Mormon church. Not to mention the fact that he avoided the vietnam war with his father's millions behind him. I mean, this list goes on and on people. How can we sit and tear apart every little detail about Obama's life, character, and time and office, but, just turn a blind eye to this man's clear lack of vision, and many character flaws and past indiscretions? It's sad.
