President Barack Obama to Accept the Nomination Thursday at the DNC

The full schedule is being kept quiet, but big names are expected to speak and perform.

Unlike previous days of the convention, the Democratic National Convention is keeping Thursday night’s schedule quiet. The convention’s website only lists the morning and afternoon caucus sessions, but other media sources report that acclaimed actresses and other entertainers will be in attendance before the president officially accepts the nomination.

CNN reports that President Barack Obama’s speech will focus heavily on the economy. The keynote speakers this week have been during the 10 to 11 p.m. hour.

So who else is speaking? The Daily Beast has a list of things to watch at tonight’s ceremony, including speeches from former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden. CNN reports that actresses Scarlett Johansson and Kerry Washington are expected to attend (Initial reports also included Natalie Portman, but The Huffington Post says that's not the case.) And Pop & Hiss, the L.A. Times Music Blog, reports that a number of musicians could be performing, including the Foo Fighters and Mary J. Blige. The convention just Tweeted a photo of James Taylor doing his sound check for tonight, saying, “We are so excited for all of the musicians tonight,” so you may want to follow @DemConvention on Twitter for extra updates throughout the day.

HuffPost Politics has a live blog from the convention that will be updated throughout the day and into the evening.
