Police Blotter: Santa Gets Sick on Lakewood Sidewalk

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 Ho, ho, hurl

Someone called the just after 12 a.m. Dec. 25 to report a man dressed as Santa Claus vomiting out the door of a pick-up truck in the 2100 block of Richland Avenue. Police reported Santa was “feeling under the weather, and he was returned home to Mrs. Claus."

Robbery

A man was arrested for robbery and public intoxication at , 11701 Detroit Ave., around 8 p.m. Dec. 25 when he tried to fight with an employee after being caught shoplifting.

A man in the 1300 block of Webb Avenue called police after he received a call from his girlfriend’s caretaker’s boyfriend, who claimed to be across the street with a weapon around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 26. No word on whether the boyfriend was found. A woman from the same address called police around 2 p.m. Dec. 27, and reported she had received threatening calls from her home health care worker’s boyfriend.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, just not there

A man was cited for public intoxication around 5 p.m. Dec. 26 after allegedly urinating in the alley behind and becoming “belligerent with some of the employees.”

Bi-Wrong

Police arrested a woman for petty theft at around 2:30 p.m. Dec. 27 after receiving a call that a man dressed as a woman was filling up a bag with items from the grocery store.

Copper bandits in a gold van

A woman in the 1300 block of Andrews Avenue called police around 4 a.m. Dec. 27, after two men were trying to enter her home through the side door. The caller banged on the window, and the men took off in a gold minivan. Police found the house was missing copper wiring.
