Police Blotter: Drug Charges; Suspicious Cyclist; and a Bar Fight
The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Dangerous drugs
A woman was arrested and charged with dangerous drugs after she was found in possession of hypodermic needles in the 1300 block of Cove Avenue following a traffic stop at around 3 p.m. Sept. 21.
Traffic stop nets arrests
A man was charged with providing false information and another man was charged with obstructing official business and drug abuse following a traffic stop in the 11900 block of Detroit Avenue at around 3:50 a.m. Sept. 22.
Get a room
A man and a woman were caught having sex in the women’s restroom at Madison Park at around 9 p.m. Sept. 22. By the time officers arrived, the lovebirds left the park.
Bar fight
A large fight was reported at Johnny Malloy’s at around 6 p.m. Sept. 25, but when officers arrived the brawlers had left the bar.
Suspicious cyclist
Police received a call about a suspicious man on a bike on Clifton Boulevard at around 11 a.m. Sept. 26. Turns out the man was riding his bike from Indiana to Maine and was trying to meet up with a friend.
Be careful with the dirty laundry
A maid at the Days Inn told police that she found a handgun under a pillow while she was cleaning a room at around 12:30 p.m. Sept. 26. The man checked out by the time police arrived.
Rainy day arrest
A man and a woman were caught stealing umbrellas from the Drug Mart at 15412 Detroit Avenue at 3 p.m. Sept. 26.
