Pharmacy Gets Nearly $1,000 in Counterfeit Bills

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Counterfeit bills

The CVS Pharmacy on Clifton Boulevard reported Feb. 26 that it had received $960 in counterfeit twenty-dollar bills. The company turned over the video footage to police.

Man cited for "dangerous toys"

The off-duty police officer at Giant Eagle requested assistance for a man believed to be carrying a firearm at around 11:50 p.m. Feb. 26. Turns out the gun was a fake. The man was cited for possession of dangerous toys.

Fighting over NASCAR race

Police were called to the Mid Town Booths bar on Detroit Avenue for a report of a fight at around 12:40 a.m. Feb. 28. Turns out, two men were arguing about the NASCAR race. 

Domestic dispute

A woman in the 18000 block of Edgewater Avenue told police that she and her boyfriend got into an argument at around 2:30 p.m. Feb. 28, when he smashed a glass table. She didn’t want to file a report.
