Marcy Kaptur Wins in Every Lakewood Precinct Against 'Joe the Plumber'

The Democrat takes each of the city's 41 precincts against GOP challenger Samuel Wurzelbacher.

It looks several campaign stops in Lakewood paid off for US Rep. Marcy Kaptur.

The Democrat from Toledo had no trouble beating her opponent, Samuel 'Joe the Plumber' Wurzelbacher, for the newly drawn 9th Congressional District.

And in Lakewood, Kaptur took each of the city's 41 precincts on Election Day — mirroring voting trends in the presidential election

However, it hasn't been easy for Kaptur, who earlier this year squared off against US Rep. Dennis Kucinich for the newly drawn district.

By the end of Election Day, Kaptur had tallied more than three times as many votes as Wuzelbacher in the district.

The results were similar in Lakewood, where she took each precinct in the city by a wide margin, according to final but unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Here's a breakdown of how each of the precincts went for the candidates:

I still can't even believe that Joe The Plumber got as far as he did to even legitimately run for congress - that's just insane. I really hope we're seeing a backlash against Tea Party idiocy with this election..

The Tea Party is concerned about out of control gov. spending, crushing national debt, and a government that must borrow part of every dollar it spends. This will affect every working American. You should also be concerned.

Following the constitution is not extreme it's the right path otherwise everybody suffers including the Democrats. Five pages of companies laying off thousands of emoyees started yesterday. That is only the beginning. We warned you.

Wow. Joe asked the President a question once so he thought he could be a Congressman? He wasn't even a real plumber. LOL

This is quite an interesting scenario. I wish that my plumber in Lethbridge would adopt more policies like this one. http://www.thegentlemenplumberslethbridge.com/plumbing.html
