Man ‘Tased’ After Bailing From Traffic Stop

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Man "Tased" after running from police

Police received a report that a man got out of his car and kicked in the door of a Wascana Avenue home at around 7:30 p.m. May 28. When officers got behind a suspected vehicle, the driver took off on foot. He tried to climb a fence in the 1600 block of Newman Avenue and was “Tased” for being “non-compliant.” He wasn’t the man who kicked in the door — that man got away. 

Drunk and running from police

A man was arrested and charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct after police received reports that he was approaching cars on Detroit Avenue at around 1 a.m. May 26. When police responded, the man took off on foot. Officers caught up with moments later.

Weapons offense

A man was charged with a weapons offense after a semi-truck driver was shot in the foot by a pellet gun near the Lake Erie Screw Factory building at around 8:30 a.m. May 26. The driver was not injured. 

Hit-skip, drunken driving charges

A woman was charged with drunken driving and hit-skip after she struck a parked vehicle in the 1500 block of Coutant Avenue at around 4 a.m. May 27.
