Man Strolls Detroit With His Pants Down

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Indecency 

Police received a report of a man walking along Detroit Avenue without a shirt and his “pants down to his knees” making “obscene finger gestures” at passersby at around 5:30 p.m. April 14. When police caught up with him, officers learned that he had been reported missing from a home in East Cleveland. He was taken back there.

Dog barking

Police received a report of a dog barking in the 2000 block of Baxterly Avenue at around 12:20 a.m. April 20. Turns out, the dog’s owner had fallen asleep on the couch after he let the dog out.

Man threatens to “harm people”

A man called police and said he wanted to “harm people” at around 2:50 a.m. April 11 before hanging up. Officers tracked the call to the 11900 block of Madison Avenue, where they found the man and charged him with disorderly conduct.

“Gunshots” turn out to be fireworks

Police received a call from the 11700 block of Lake Avenue with a report of six gunshots at around 3:45 a.m. April 11. Turns out, the teenagers were setting off fireworks. Police were unable to catch them before they fled into Cleveland.

Newspaper breaks window

A resident of the 1300 block of Giel Avenue told police that the newspaper carrier broke a window of the home when she threw it at the porch at around 4:45 a.m. April 11.

Dog bite

Police received a report that a dog in the 1600 block of Lewis Drive bit a child at around 5 p.m. April 11.
