Man Stabbed, Robbed on Brockley Avenue

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Robbery

A man told police that two men robbed him and another woman at knifepoint as they were walking near the railroad tracks on Brockley Avenue at around 6:45 p.m. Dec. 9. The man told police that he was stabbed in the arm during the incident. His cell phone and money were stolen; the woman reported that her purse was taken. Police are investigating. 

Drug abuse

Two men were charged with drug abuse following a traffic stop near the intersection of W. 117th Street and Detroit Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. Dec. 8.

Grand theft

A vehicle was reported stolen from the street in the 2100 block of Dowd Avenue at around 4:00 a.m. Dec. 8. 

Wanted man runs from police

A man bailed from a vehicle during a traffic stop in the 14500 block of Madison Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8. Officers caught up with him a few minutes later and charged him with obstructing official business. He also was wanted for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. 

Tires slashed

The tires of a vehicle were reported slashed in the 1400 block of Hopkins Avenue at around 8 a.m. Dec. 9. 

Vehicle versus pedestrian

A woman was struck by a vehicle in the 11800 block of Lake Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10. She declined medical treatment.

Fake $100 bill

A customer paid with a counterfeit $100 bill at the Speedway on Warren Road at around 9:30 p.m. Dec. 10.

Suspicious vehicle

A resident in the 2100 block of Brown Road reported a “suspicious vehicle” parked on the street at around 12:30 a.m. Dec. 11. Turns out, the man inside was just locked out of his home.
