Man Caught Smashing Car Windows on Cove Avenue

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Obstructing official business

A man was charged with obstructing official business, criminal damaging and disorderly conduct after smashing out the windows of at least five vehicles in the 1200 block of Cove Avenue, then running from police at around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 19. Officers caught up with him near the railroad tracks.

No injuries were reported following a two-car crash near Roosevelt Elementary School at around 9 a.m. Dec. 18.

Disturbance

A man was asked to leave the INA Building at around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 18 after throwing tables and chairs to the ground.

Driving around a school bus

A man was cited for driving around a school bus near the Lakewood Catholic Academy at around 3 p.m. Dec. 18.

Criminal damaging

The window of a business was smashed out in the 15600 block of Detroit Avenue at around 2 a.m. Dec. 19.

Burglary

A woman in the 17500 block of Franklin Boulevard told police that someone broke into her car and stole a watch and some cash, sometime Dec. 20.

Caught stealing beer

A man was charged with petty theft and disorderly conduct after stealing beer from the CVS Pharmacy on Detroit Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. Dec. 16.
