LOOK: Lakewood 4th of July Parade. Did you go?

It was hot out there, but that didn't stop the celebration.

Great Lakewood parade. Had a long walk from where we were finally able to get a parking spot but I enjoyed the whole parade. Very proud of the veterans who started off the parade and it was good to see so many people stand and applaud as they went by. Proud of my granddaughter who marched with the Lakewood High School Band flag group, too.

Got there a bit late; we walked our dogs and they need some water and shade breaks along the way.

Highlight-- the "Orch Dork" shirts on LHS Orchestra members. Clever and inventive humor-- you joke as well as you play.
Most awkward moment-- Volunteers from the Hospice of the Western Reserve (fine folks, I really appreciate them) being followed by the St. Ed's band playing, "The Final Countdown."
