Lakewood Dogs Make a Big Splash at Pool Plunge
Seventh-annual event is big draw — despite its tendency for bad weather.
Dozens of dogs braved high winds and cloudy skies to end summer on the right foot — or paw — with the seventh annual Pool Plunge at the Foster Pool at Lakewood Park on Tuesday afternoon.
Proceeds from the event — sponsored by the Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park — will benefit the maintenance and improvements to the Lakewood Dog Park.
The event made quite a splash with the dogs — as well as their owners. The event was expected to raise nearly $1,200, said event organizers.
