Kellogg's Recalls Popular Cereal

Company orders recall after wire mesh found in some cereal pieces.

Local grocers took Frosted Mini-Wheats and Mini-Wheats off the shelves today after Kellogg's and the FDA announced a recall of the cereal.

Some pieces of the cereal manufactured between April and September of this year were discovered to have fragments of wire mesh from faulty equipment.

No serious injuries have been reported as a result of the cereal.

Check your shelves for the affected cereal — the only cereal affected are those boxes with KB, AP or FK before or after the Best If Used Before date.

Heinen's, Dave's Market, Giant Eagle and Marc's in the Cleveland region confirmed that they carried the recalled product and have now unshelved the recalled products from their stores.

The full list of recalled cereal can be found at the Kellogg's website.

Thanks for posting this Nikki. I have three boxes of the cereal that is recalled. Two I purchased at Giant Eagle and one that I purchased at BJ's.

I have it too. Am halfway through the second box. This may explain the stomach ailments after eating it. I must be allergic to plant-metals.

I just got done eating a whole box and it looks like I am wearing braces on my teeth. This is not good.
