Four Men Robbed at Gunpoint

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Robbery

Four men told police that they were robbed at gunpoint by two men in the 17700 block of Riverway Drive at around 11:15 p.m. Jun 24. The suspects were last spotted running up Overbrook Drive toward Hilliard Road. Police are investigating.

Dangerous drugs

A man was charged with drug abuse following a traffic stop in the 14100 block of Detroit Avenue at around 4:15 a.m. June 21.

“Bag of smashed kittens” turns out to be dead fish

Police responded to a report of a “bag of kittens smashed on the street” in the 15000 block of Hilliard Road at around 6 a.m. June 21. Turns out, there was a dead fish in the road.

Lakewood assist Cleveland police after high-speed pursuit

Lakewood officers assisted the Cleveland Police Department following a high-speed chase that ended with a crash near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Clifton Boulevard at around 7:15 p.m. June 24. Officers chased and caught the suspect — who attempted to rob a Cleveland store moments before — through backyards in the area.

Grand theft

A vehicle was reported stolen from an apartment building in the 14800 block of Clifton Boulevard at around 3:30 a.m. June 22.
