Excedrin Returning to Stores Later This Year
Excedrin was part of recall by drugmaker Novartis in January, migraine and headache sufferers long for return of product to market.

Excedrin fans, rejoice!
Since January, migraine and headache sufferers been waiting and hoping for Excedrin to return after it was part of a massive recall in January.
Drugmaker Novartis told the Wall Street Journal that production has resumed on the recalled Excedrin products. They're expected to be back on store shelves as early as October.
The Journal added that bottles of the recalled medication have been fetching more than $100 at sites like Amazon and eBay.
These Excedrin products, with expiration dates of Dec. 20, 2014 or earlier, were part of the recall:
Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets, Excedrin Extra Strength Express Gel Caplets, Excedrin Extra Strength Gel Caplets, Excedrin Extra Strength Tablets, Excedrin Back & Body Caplets, Excedrin Sinus Headache Caplets, Excedrin Migraine Caplets, Excedrin Migraine Gel Tablets, Excedrin Migraine Tablets, Excedrin Menstrual Complete Express Gel Caplets, Excedrin PM Caplets, Excedrin PM Express Gel Caplets, Excedrin PM Tablets, Excedrin Tension Headache Caplets, Excedrin Tension Headache Express Gel Caplets, Excedrin Tension Headache Gel Tablets
American News Report says that the long recall may have cost Novartis customers as people found alternatives to Excedrin products.

"Excedrin fans, rejoice!" Indeed. There are so many people that were heart broken when Excedrin was taken off the shelves. People felt it be unfair that the product was sold online without the requirement of any documentation as opposed to the pharmacy.

I can't wait for Excedrin Migraine to be available again. It is the only product that I have ever taken that takes away my migraines. I have tried everything and nothing else works for me. Please hurry up and return this wonder drug to us. If you have ever had a migraine you will understand how horrible it is to not be able to have the one thing that will take away your pain! I have a migraine right now and found this website while trying to find some excedrin anywhere. At least I now have hope that Excedrin Migraine will be available in the nar future.

Try Acetaminophen [Tylenol] and Ibuprophen [Motrin] together.. with a little caffeine [soda/coffee/tea] -just a thought

I suffer from bad Migraine headaches. I am just glad that I bought a 500 tablet bottle of Migraine pills before the recall. but I am running out. I am glad to hear that they will soon be back on the shelves at my store. I have tried other pills from different companies, but they had no effect on my headaches. And I really don't want to get a very strong prescription type of medicine.

I hate to be a killjoy, but if you read the labels of Excedrine Migraine and extra strength Excedrine, the ingredients are identical. The power of suggestion would seem to be the only reason it works. Perhaps that is the real reason it was all taken off the market temporarily-false advertising rather than safety.

1.Excedrine Migraine was introduced in 1998 while Extra Strength was the pioneer among the product line as it was made available in the early 1960’s.
2.Migraine is available in three forms while Extra Strength is available in four.
3.Migraine’s recommended dosage is 2 tablets per 24 hours while Extra Strength must be taken 2 caplets every 6 hours; not more than 8 caplets in 24 hours.

I have tried everything and nothing works like excedrin.I have been using it for many years and It gets rid of my headaches in as little as fifteen minutes.I can't wait until you are back on the shelves

Does anyone know if they are going to be making the excedrine migraine gel tabs? The tablets are back in our local stores but no gel tabs. They are the only thing that gets rid of my migraines.

Hi, Margie! Novartis, the makers of Excedrin, posted on the Excedrin Facebook page that Excedrin Extra Strength is being shipped to stores this month. So it should be showing up pretty soon.

Dear Novartis, I suffer from migraines and the only thing that helps me feel better is Excedrin Extra Strength Gel Tabs. The coated Excedrin Extra Strength coated tablets are worthless to my headaches. Sometimes I take 4 per day and it is the same as taking nothing.
