Drunken Woman Tries to Pick Up Child From School

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Drunken driving

A woman was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, drug abuse and child endangering at Emerson Elementary School at around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 23 after she tried to pick up her child while driving drunk. The child was released to a grandparent.

Theft

A man was charged with petty theft after he was caught stealing razor blades from the Walgreens on Detroit Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. Jan. 24.

Dogs chasing kids

Police received a report of two dogs chasing children near Madison Park at around 3:20 p.m. Jan. 24. The dogs were caught and returned to the owner.

Breaking and entering

A home in the 1200 block of Cook Avenue was broken into and stripped of copper pipes on Jan. 24.

Burglary

Police received a report that a home in the 1200 block of Ethel Avenue had been burglarized at around 9:20 p.m. Jan. 24. The back door had been broken open, however nothing was reported stolen.

Copper pipes stolen

Police received a report that copper pipes had been stripped from a home in the 1300 block of Lakeland Avenue at around 11 a.m. Jan. 25. 

Snowball fight gets out of hand

A snowball fight in the 1400 block of Alameda Avenue got “out of hand” at around 7:50 p.m. Jan. 25. Police talked to the children involved in the snowball fight.

Yeah I noticed when I clicked the link that it actually did say elementary. Thanks for correcting the post. I guess I am a little OC about stuff like that. Love this site BTW
