Couple Charged With Attempted Breaking and Entering

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Attempted breaking and entering

A neighbor tipped off police to a couple who were trying to break into a vacant home in the 16700 block of Hilliard Road at around 5:30 p.m. March 12. The man and woman were each charged with attempted breaking and entering.

Charges after traffic stop

Two men face drug charges following a traffic stop in the 11800 block of North Lane Drive at around 5:15 p.m. March 10. The driver was charged with operating a vehicle without a license and drug paraphernalia, while a passenger was charged with drug abuse and possession of a pocket knife.

Suspicious man

Police received a report of a man dressed in black wearing a mask sitting in a vehicle in the 1200 block of Cranford Avenue at around 5 a.m. March 11.

Theft

A woman who moved out of a home in the 2000 block of Magee Street in February returned to the home to steal a lawnmower from the garage at around 2:45 p.m. March 11.

More copper theft

A man told police that someone broke into his garage in the 1500 block of Coutant Avenue and stole a box full of copper fittings — valued at around $50 — on March 11.

Car break-ins

Two cars were reported broken into in the 1200 block of Ramona Avenue on March 12. Items, including a GPS, were reported stolen.

Drug charges following traffic stop

A man was charged with felony drug possession and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of Madison Avenue and W. 117th Street at around 11 p.m. March 12.

Domestic violence

A woman in the emergency room at Lakewood Hospital told police that her boyfriend “beat her up” at around 10:30 a.m. March 13.

Damage to property

Police received a report of a brick hurled through the window at Eddy and Iggy’s at around noon on March 13.
