Coming Soon: Where's Your Favorite ... ?
Here's your chance to recommend the best places in town to get your favorite things.
We know you have them in your brain: Those favorite shops you frequent again and again. The restaurants you recommend to your friends. The stores with great customer service or unusual offerings.
Well, here's your chance to tell the world.
Beginning Feb. 27, we'll be asking for your recommendation on the best places in town for everything from burgers to car repair.
With your help, we'll put a list together of nominees.
Then you can 'vote' for your favorite by leaving a review on the business's directory listing on Lakewood Patch Places. The winner will be determined by Lakewood Patch local editor Colin McEwen — based in large part on the reviews.
And be nice: We'll only consider positive reviews in making our decision.
The first favorite we want to know about is ... hamburgers! Who's serving up the best burger in town? Three that come to mind are Melt Bar and Grilled, 56 West, Deagan's and Plank Road Tavern.

Our Jammy Buggar Vegan Burger is pretty nice, but don't forget about our Signature Burger. Green Vista Farms (wooster), 100% grassfed...and short of the tenderloin & rib roasts we grind the WHOLE thing! ...flank, shank, brisket...even sirloin. A beauty in every bite!!!

Jim - As a vegetarian for 29 years now, I applaud your decision to have a Vegan Burger (and surprisingly, a decent selection of vegan/vegetarian options.) I say "suprisingly" because I rarely associate "pub food" with "healthy eating." I urge progressive food/drink establishments such as yours to play up/feature your veg-friendly options to meet the needs of the growing population of health-conscious eaters! Keep up the good work .. and we look forward to visiting you.

Deagans has a good burger but after having it a couple of times it's kind of boring. Jammy Buggers has by far the best burger in town! I've had a burger at JB's several times and they never disappoint. Always juicy, NEVER dried out, and the bun is great too.

The Beer Engine. Whenever we have the urge for a burger...the only place we end up is the Beer Engine. They always have a really fun 'special' running and the menu burgers offer a wide variety of tastes to go with the tons of beers they always have on tap. Paired with their home-made potatoe chips, we think it can't be beat.

Jammy Buggars gets my vote! As a lifelong resident of this area, I have the visited most of the restaurants on this list. Not only does JB's serve the best tasting burger but the variety and creativity that they have can not be beat! I have had 6 to 7 different burgers of the week already and look forward to more creations from their kitchen.

I have never had a jammy burger. My favorite spot for a burger in Lakewood is the Beer Engine. They've got a fantastic and interesting menu, great staff, and a powerful draft list.
