Caught Stealing the ‘Emily’ Street Sign

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Theft

A man and a woman were each charged with petty theft after trying to steal the ‘Emily’ street sign at the intersection of Emily and Delaware avenues at around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 22.

Grand theft

A vehicle was reported stolen from Madison Park at around 10 p.m. Nov. 24. 

Hitchhiker warned

Police warned a man who was trying to hitchhike a ride from the UDF store on Detroit Avenue to Fairview Park at around 1:30 a.m. Nov. 25.

Receiving stolen property

A man was charged with receiving stolen property after a traffic stop at the intersection of Carbon Road and W. 117th Street at around 11:45 p.m. Nov. 25, when officers found he was driving a stolen vehicle. 

Burglary

A woman in the 1300 block of Riverside Drive told police that someone broke into her home and several items were missing at around 7 p.m. Nov. 26.

Robbery

A woman told police that a man punched her in the face and took her cell phone at Irish Kevin’s at around 10:30 p.m. Nov. 26. When officers arrived, they couldn’t find the suspect or the victim.
