Blotter: Gunshots; Grand Theft; and a (Small) Fire at Madison Park

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lakewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Grand theft

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Idlewood Avenue at around 9 a.m. Aug. 7.

Gunshots

The sounds of gunshots were reported by more than a few residents in the 14000 block of Detroit Avenue at around 1:20 a.m. Aug. 8.

(Small) fire at Madison Park

Someone set the safety mats at Madison Park on fire at around 9:30 a.m. Aug. 8.

Counterfeit money

Someone tried to buy merchandise at the Discount Drug Mart store — at 11900 Detroit Avenue — with a fake $50 bill at around 2:15 p.m. Aug. 8.

Cyclist struck by a car

A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Belle and Detroit avenues at around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 8. No injuries were reported.
